Canadian Man Pees on Dairy Queen Counter

An unmasked Canadian man was so peed-off about a Dairy Queen‘s face covering mandate that he relieved himself on the counter of the fast food restaurant.
The peevish customer argued with staff about British Columbia’s mask policy before unzipping his pants and defiling the DQ service counter as the staff shrieked in horror, footage showed.

“It’s not a BC policy. BC policy says you have to observe exemptions,” the dribbling dissenter said in the video before apparently taking matters into his own hands.

“F—ing psychopaths,” he exclaimed before walking out of the store.

WHO Warns of Colombian COVID-19 Mu Variant, B.1.62

The World Health Organization said it is monitoring another new COVID-19 variant with mutations that the agency fears could make it resistant to vaccines.

The Colombian Mu variant, also known as B.1.621, was added as a “variant of interest” to the organization’s watch list Monday.

“The Mu variant has a constellation of mutations that indicate potential properties of immune escape,” the bulletin said.

CDC: Unvaccinated People Shouldn’t Travel Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend promises a surge in travel among Americans, but the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has asked people to reconsider their plans — particularly the unvaccinated.

In a White House COVID-19 response team briefing on Tuesday, CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky told reporters, “First and foremost, if you are unvaccinated, we would recommend not traveling.

Walensky added, “We have actually articulated that people who are fully vaccinated and who are wearing masks can travel. Although given where we are with disease transmission right now, we would say that people need to take their own — these risks into their own consideration as they think about traveling.”

The CDC also updated its domestic travel recommendations on Aug. 25 advising people to “delay travel until you are fully vaccinated.”

Quebec’s Vaccine Passport Implemented, Unvaccinated in Prison State

Starting today, proof of vaccination will be as much of a daily necessity in Quebec when leaving the house as a wallet or house keys.

Dubbed the COVID-19 vaccination passport, digital or paper documentation will be required to take part in much of public life, from having a beer to playing badminton.

Other provinces — including British Columbia, Manitoba and Ontario — are poised to implement their own systems in the days and weeks to come.

In Quebec, the list of non-essential activities prohibited to those without a vaccine is wide-ranging: restaurants, movie theatres, gyms, team sports and indoor pools are all now off limits to those who aren’t adequately vaccinated, or granted a rare exemption for medical reasons. 12 Indiana Children TOTAL Have Died From COVID-19

To date, in Indiana, there have been a total of TWELVE reported COVID-19 deaths in people 19 and under (explore the dataset for yourself). The dataset does not reveal how many, if any, of those deaths were in people 18 or 19 years old. This equates to 0.1% of COVID-19 deaths in Indiana.

Due to Indiana State Department of Health reporting with this dataset, we do not know what co-morbidities, if any, that they had. Nor do we know their vaccination status.

Stainless Steel Found in Moderna COVID-19 Doses

Moderna Inc and Takeda Pharmaceutical Co Ltd on Wednesday said they are working with Japanese authorities to recall three batches of COVID-19 vaccine after an investigation found stainless steel contaminants in some vials.

Japanese authorities had suspended use of these batches of Moderna shots containing 1.63 million doses last week after being notified of the contamination issue.

Japan’s health ministry said on Wednesday, based on information from the companies’ investigation, that it did not believe the particles of stainless steel pose any additional health risk.

Moderna said the stainless steel contamination probably occurred during production.

McDonald’s Considers Closing Indoor Seating…Again

Last week, McDonald’s instructed its franchisees on steps they should take to re-close their dining rooms in areas where the Delta variant is rapidly spreading, according to internal company materials seen by Reuters.

“We have a much deeper sense of what actions make a difference for the safety of our restaurant teams and crew,” McDonald’s USA President Joe Erlinger said during a Wednesday meeting, according to the materials.

In Wednesday’s conference call, McDonald’s executives recommended franchisees consider closing indoor seating in counties where COVID cases exceed 250 per 100,000 people on a rolling three-week average.
